Jonathan came as cover for another plumber so hadn’t been able to check out details for himself. As it was the job took 3 times longer than it should have because materials ordered weren’t right and other problems but he overcame each difficulty with extreme good humour and clever thinking born out of a great deal of experience and skill and was very generous with the costs as the delays hadn’t been of my making. I would certainly use him again.

From the moment we first contacted him to the end of the job, Jonathan proved to be highly professional. He swiftly diagnosed the problem, offering advice on the options we had. He carried out the repair the next day much to our delight. He was friendly and approachable and competent at his job. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone needing a plumber.

I am delighted, we had another company out and they told us we needed a new boiler... the weekend before Christmas, we were in panic as we had everyone arriving! We called Jonathan and explained over the phone the issues and what the other company told us, he thought it was a fault so came round to look at it, within an hour had found the problem and had ordered a part to fix our boiler. Needless to say we were over the moon we didn't have to replace our boiler! I would highly recommend Jonathan, he is very knowledgeable and very nice to deal with.

What is the best combi boiler for a 2-3 bedroom house?

In the murky world of plumbing and heating there is never a straightforward answer! Some of the stipulations needed to decide on what boiler is best for the property are as follows. How many bathrooms are in the property? How many inhabitants are in the property is it a family is it a rental property does there need to be a couple of hot water draw off points running at the same time? What's the flow rate to the property all boilers have a certain flow rate design and can only give enough hot water as what is entering the property hrough the cold water tap usally or garden tap usally best place to measure the true flow rate from.e.g. less than 10 liters a minute then a 24Kw would suit bearing in mind that 10liters a minute hot water is all you'll recievd from your hot tap. If it's less than 13 liters a minute then 30kw boiler may be the right choice for you. The amount of radiators isn't a massive concern when choosing a combi boiler. Its all based on your hot water needs! Which is like a water lottery depending on your area. If you're looking for a new boiler to be installed in your property. I'd be more than happy to come round measure the flow rate in your property look at your living situation and recommend a boiler for you. I install many of the top brands of boilers and I also install some budget brands of boilers as well,if you're in the West London area please don't hesitate to give me a call if you need just advice or you need a no obligation quote. You know who to call!

What are the benefits of powerflushing?

When it comes to power flushing it's hard for a customer to see the benefit in doing so. It costly and your not actually going to see anything for your money. But wait!!! Have you been having issues with your boiler or heating system lately, components breaking, seals leaking, pumps seazing. Have you a cold radiator on the system that never heats up? Have you noticed a room or two colder than the rest of the rooms? Have you got a half moon shape at the bottom of the radiator? Have you got a rasping noise coming from your boiler? Have you noticed black water coming from your radiator when you need to bleed them? Are you bleeding your radiators excessively? These are all signs that may need a power flush on your system. You may not see what you get for your money with power flush but over time you will save hundreds of pounds on break down and on your heating bills which will pay for the power flush itself. You see overtime inside your heating system the water can react with the steel in the radiators and this creates a black /grey substance called magnetite. (Magnetite) is a by-product of of iron and is released as oxygen and water react with the steel inside your radiator. Only recently have plumbing and heating professionals been adding a chemical to the heating system to stop this reaction called (Inhibitor). It has become vital to add this to system due to the fact the newer more efficient boilers have much smaller water ways inside there heat exchangers and magnetite can have a detrimental effect on these newer boilers. Power flushing old heating systems with the above issues is a great way to rid your system of the dreaded magnetite. Which can cause a huge amount of issues time and money to resolve. Make sure that, if you are having a new boiler installed that you're plumber or heating engineer power flushes the system, uses the correct chemical cleanser,to clean the system and then he doses the system, with a good inhibitor to stop this happening again. Believe me power flushing can turn an old inefficient heating system with radiators that are not heating and a noisy boiler into a brand or system that is continually breaking down into new efficient heating system saving you money on your gas and plumbing bills hand over fist!

What are the benefits of installing an unvented cylinder?

There's are always advantages and disadvantages with every new purchase. Here you'll find some of the advantages. You will need to look at your individual situation and decide whether and unvented cylinder is the right choice for you. •Have you got a large family that will need plenty of hot water from two or three different hot water outlets at once. If you, answer yes to this, you need an unvented cylinder. •Could you do with more space in the hot press an extra cupboard to store bed linen towels and even winter or summer clothes. If you answered yes to this you need an unvented cylinder. •Are you fed up of hearing the cold water gushing into the cold water storage tank, every time a hot tap is opened. If you answered yes to this an unvented cylinder could be the right choice for you. • Do you have to wait ages for the bath to fill or to fill the kitchen sink with hot water trickling from the tap ,provided there is the right pressure and flow rate from the mains water coming into your house then an unvented cylinder could be perfect for you. •Do you need to move the cylinder in your property but can't find a good place to site the cylinder because of the cold water storage tank having to be above the above the cylinder. Then an unvented cylinder is the right choice for you, as it doesn't need a cold water storage tank above it. •Using an unvented cylinder is a completely sealed system meaning your water cannot be contaminated by sitting in an old dirty tank in the loft. . Say goodbye to freezing tanks in the loft you won't need a tank in the loft with your new unvented cylinder. . Another great advantage is the installation cost with an unvented cylinder it is much cheaper and easier to install. Let be honest here, i believe that you'd be mad not to fit an unvented cylinder. It the way forward for large properties, family,s and business premises. Turn that frown upside down and fit an unvented cylinder. You'd be mad not to!
