Why are my sockets / electrical outlets not working in one room?
There could be a few reasons on why sockets are not working in one room it depends on how your house is wired up. If the house is on a ring circuit it could be dangerous due to all the sockets being underrated if the ring final circuit has a break in it. If the house multiple rings or radials it could be a fuse or a mcb or rcd etc that has tripped If the house is on radial circuits it could a break or loose terminal and the the circuit is now incomplete A local electrician would be able to investigate and fault find for you
Why are my sockets / electrical outlets not working if the fuse hasn't tripped?
There can be a few different reasons on why a RCD hasn’t tripped, it could be a break in the cable or a loose terminal or a possible faulty accessory, a electrician would be able to test the circuits and should be able to find the fault and replace what’s necessary to get the circuit working again.
How often must a PAT test be undertaken?
PAT Testing has different time frames for different environments, most people or company policy’s are that the requirements are every 12 months unless it’s required that the testing carried out before the 12 months period. Some items need to be tested before use contact your local electrician or PAT testers for a quote
