Was originally happy with the basics then Job took much longer than advised, had to keep coming back to refit things. Did not check their work, had to point out problems such as chipped edges, incorrectly cut flooring & panels. Terrible job fitting bathroom door and will now need to employ a carpenter to rectify issues. Electrician had to be called back to rectify ceiling fan issues which mean roof had to be accessed twice. Floor not levelled properly so there is now a depression in it. Would not be recommending this firm.

Do I need a chimney for a gas fire?
As a general rule no is the answer. Gas is a relatively clean burning fuel and doesn’t soot up the chimney like the old coal fires. However you should always have a carbon monoxide alarm in the room with your gas fire and if it goes off there is a high chance the chimney is blocked. Stop using the appliance and call a local engineer.
What is the Baxi boiler e119 fault / error code?
E119 is a loss in pressure. Quite often this is just a loss over several months and nothing to worry about. Occasionally though it is a sign of a leak. Take a look around your radiators and at your ground floor ceilings for any signs of damp. If all is clear you should be fine to re-fill the system yourself aim for middle of the green wedge on your gauge, there are several videos on YouTube to show you how to re-fill your Baxi boiler. It will go up when cold and may pull down when boiler first fires, this is fine and normal. The boiler will turn back on, no reset required as the pressure builds.
What is the best way to update bathroom tiles without replacing them?
As a company we don’t like to tile over tiles so if a client asks for a ‘spruce’ we tend to recommend wall boards over the front of existing. It’s worth mentioning that to bring the wall forward this few mm it may be necessary to alter plumbing remove screens appliances and doors and can be quite costly.
