We usually have an inventory signed by both parties that this is the state the house was in before the tenants moved in so therefore that's the condition the property should be in once handed back over to landlord. In the case that they don't clean the house or do to the standard required, then the landlord will need to get the property cleaned before they new tenants move in.

The vacating tenant is expected to leave the property in the clean condition they found it in and so should either book and end of tenancy clean through a company or carry out one themselves. If however they vacate a property without cleaning then the landlord should arrange this for the new tenants.

The outgoing tenant is expected to return the property in the condition they received it, otherwise cleaning fees will apply and their deposit affected, but the landlord themselves is responsible for making sure it is clean and fit for purpose before the next tenant begins their lease.

Far as I know you the tenant have to leave the property in the same condition as when you moved in. I also would check your tenancy agreement. But I think that it is the tenants responsibility to have it cleaned. Am going to read up on this again and find out more for you all. If you are unsure either read your tenancy agreement or call your landlord to find out we’re you stand I’m sure they will be happy to help.

It depends on the landlord. Most landlords require that the tenant leaves the property in the same condition as it was when they took out the tenancy. If they don't, the landlord normally gets the work done and deducts the cost from the tenant's bond. It is the tenants responsibility to ensure they know what is required when they end their tenancy.

i think its the landlords responsible to have theres windows cleaned inside and out, ready for any new tenants to move in, now i do this for some landlords already, but other landlords tell there tenants the window cleaning is included in there tenancy agreement and that the landlord gets the bill for the windows to be cleaned and have passed my detail onto the tenant and said this is the window cleaner that will be cleaning the windows regularly. i know this gives landlords peace of mind as they know the house windows and doors wont get run down and will be maintained.

It depends on the tenancy agreement some agreements state that the property needs to be in the same condition as when you moved in leaving you as the tenant the job to get the carpets cleaned at your expense. Alternatively if you move in and are not happy with the condition of the carpets you can ask the landlord to get them cleaned and they either pay for it outright or you come to some agreement on who and how it’s going to be cleaned and payed for.
