After having used the same heating engineer for 20+ years he retired and I was forced to look for someone new. I did find one local company who helped me with an intial problem but then found it difficult to re-engage to arrange ongoing services. It was at this point I found DA Gas. They have serviced my central heating boiler for the past few years and this year they discovered an issue with my 30 year-old boiler. It could have been all-too-easy for them to make a big deal of it and insist I replace the entire boiler. However, the following day, they checked the viability of a repair and were happy to quote me to supply and fit the part in question. Despite the age of the boiler they assured me that, aside from needing this repair to maintain gas safe compliance, the rest of the boiler was in good operational condition. I just had to wait a few days for the part to be delivered. As with previous encounters I was notified when the engineer was on his way. The repair was carried out and fully tested to ensure the boiler was once again compliant and safe to use. I couldn't fault their service, professionalism, or the price quoted for the work. We had a recurring leak to our mains inlet pipe in a very tight spot under our fitted sink unit. A previous plumber did a poor repair that failed flooding the kitchen. Charlie arrived early having phoned ahead, got down to the job and fixed it with new pipework cleanly and efficiently. We left the unit open to dry out more as Charlie had tried to hoover out as much water as possible and a couple of days later all is good again. Would use DA again without fail.

This was a complex issue - a corroded pipe behind tiling. The problem was solved really efficiently, the tiles removed, the bathroom made good and the pipe replaced. We have a low apex roof building and wanted a new shower fitted upstairs and the pressure for the downstair shower improved. DA Gas explained the different options available in which we chose the unvented high pressure system so that pressure could be evenly distributed for both showers whereas the combi boiler wouldnt. I was very impressed with the service you offered when we first met all those years ago. I was equally happy with my service last year. Similarly this year with Kane, what a charming young man. Well presented, polite, knew what he was talking about, a real credit to the company. I'd be happy to see any of you again. However, the same cannot be said for the administration side of the business. The reminder was well timed and the booking process was relatively easy. I was a bit disappointed to find that the morning hourly slots converted to all afternoon from midday on, but it is what it is. I was very pleased to receive the confirmation e mail telling me that Joe Mordey would be coming to service my boiler between 1:00pm and 3:00pm. which was a much more convenient time for me. How disappointed I was to later receive your e mail the day before my service. Although timely, it confirmed the booking as being for 1:00pm to 5:00pm, leaving me in a quandary as to which time was correct. As it happened three o'clock came and went and when my service engineer eventually arrived it was not even Joe. Not a good impression I am afraid. As I have already said Kane was most polite when he arrived and immediately offered to wear a mask if required. I asked if his name was Joe and he explained that Joe had been allocated another job. Fortunately I saw the sign written van in the background, otherwise I might have been a bit suspicious about who I was inviting in. I trust you will accept this information in the sprit in which it is sent. Not so much a criticism, but an encouragement to do better next time.

I've been holding off arranging for my kitchen taps to be repaired because of concerns about the Coronavirus and whether it was safe to have someone in the house working on them. I have used DA Gas, Heating & Plumbing before, so I called Dave to talk about it. I'm really glad that I did. He told me about all the things his business is doing to keep people safe and we made a plan for the day itself, and it turned out to be so easy - I wish I'd done it sooner! Because of our chat, Dave had a good idea what was wrong before he arrived and he's asked me to ensure that the room was well ventilated before he arrived, which I did. He turned up on time, as always, rang the bell and then stepped back and waited for me to let him in. I showed him through and he then completed everything that was needed without me having to be anywhere near him. He asked me a couple of questions and I could answer those from much further away from 2 metres. I was really impressed at all of the gloves and cleaning stuff that he had - and when he'd finished he cleaned everything up before he left. It was really easy and I'm pleased I've managed to get it done as I don't think I could have waited another month. Thanks to Dave and his team for being so careful and respectful, would thoroughly recommend giving him a call to talk things through beforehand if you are concerned, as I was.

I chose d.a.gas because they are a recommended installer for baxi the boiler I had chosen. dave came out the following day to inspect and was very helpful discussing the detail of the type of boiler to select. I was impressed from the start and had every confidence in his ability to do the job. I soon received his estimate which was slightly higher than another I had but he had managed to find a superior boiler with longer guarantee for the same price as the boiler I had chosen. we quickly fixed a date for the work. he arrived early on the day and worked quickly to complete easily on the same day. the work was extremely neat, clean and tidy. DA Gas was recommended to us by our builder. David Armstrong (DA Gas) installed a new boiler for us last February, when our old boiler failed. From the very start, David impressed us with his professional approach. He arrived at the agreed time, he was clean, presentable, friendly and knowledgeable. That job was completed in the 1 day as promised, and no time at all was wasted. On the 19th Jan 2018, David returned to carry out the first annual service on the system. Again, he arrived on time at 09.00am. Again, he presented as clean, tidy, friendly and knowledgeable. He took great care in our home, is a very tidy worker, and helpfully resolved a couple of other minor plumbing issues whilst he was here. For anyone looking for a fully trustworthy tradesperson, we have absolutely no hesitation in recommending DA Gas.

I originally asked Dave to service my boiler, which did not seem to be working correctly. He found there were a few faults with the boiler and explained what the options were. He then gave me quotes for the various options. Due the age of the boiler I decided to have a new one fitted. I was very pleased with the work he carried out and the way he told me what my options were. I would not hesitate to recommend Dave to anyone who needs any gas heating or plumbing work carried out.

I would highly recommend DA Gas, Heating & Plumbing. When my boiler stopped working I struggled to find a plumber who would get back to me. DA came back to me right away and were very flexible. I had a quote through very quickly and was able to schedule the work a lot sooner than expected. They managed to get everything done (boiler and water tank taken out and new ones fully fitted) in just one day. They were really friendly and helpful, excellent customer service and cleared up everything before leaving. I would certainly use them again, can't recommend enough.

Dave fitted the job around my busy schedule and was so knowledgeable and efficient that he fitted a new valve in my tank and eradicated an airlock in the system ingeniously and quickly. He didn't charge an over inflated price like previous plumbers I have had experience of in the past and he restored my faith that there are decent tradesmen around.

Mr. Armstrong arrived very punctually. He came to fit new taps in the bathroom, both sink and bath, that were old and worn, and leaked. Also to replace a very noisy ball valve on the tank in the loft. He did a very professional job. His rates are also competitive, we were very pleased. We have called upon Mr. Armstrong on a few occasions in the past for our plumbing problems and I'm sure will again in the future. We have recommended him to friends and will continue to do so. Dave was great, he arrived when he said he would, did the job quickly and even put the airing cupboard door back on correctly which the last plumber never managed to do! Cannot recommend this guy highly enough! Glad we found him and will always use him from now on.
